2001-2003  Rule Changes

One of the most important parts of our responsibilities as On-Ice Officials, is our knowledge of the rules of our game.  No one else is expected to know the rules and their interpretation as well as the officials.  We need to constantly review the rules since our responsibility is to insure that the games is played according to the rules.  Thanks to one of our local referee groups (Ice Hockey Officials of Northern Connecticut), we have access to both the rules and their corresponding section in the Rules Interpretation Handbook.  Here are two very important links plus one more which provides updates from our national referee-in-chief. If you are looking at the Playing Rules Handbook, you may immediately go to the rulebook by clicking on the link to that rule.  This feature should be very helpful to each of you as you review the handbook.
